Before being founded, our team’s journey in healthcare began in the front lines, serving as both caregivers and nurses.
Our experience on the front lines of healthcare showed us the critical need for proactive care in the home. We witnessed too many hospitalizations that could have been prevented-from falls and injuries to unmanaged long term health conditions.
Having worked with countless families, we’ve seen the emotional and physical toll it takes when a loved one needs support. We know that the need for in home support can often come without a warning, requiring immediate action.
That’s where we come in. We offer flexible support, from providing a much-needed break with our respite care to offering complete, round-the-clock support, so you never have to feel overwhelmed.

Care Avenue was founded in 2024 by Marie Dumlao and Peter Lagarteja, both experienced Registered Nurses in the state of California.
